Vision Aid Overseas (VAO) is a charity that collects unwanted spectacles and distributes them to people whose lives are blighted by poor eyesight in the developing world. Taank Optometrists donates £1 to VAO for every old pair of glasses when a new pair is purchased from us.

We are also regular donators to Sightsavers, a charity dedicated to preventing and combating blindness in developing countries by working with organisations to help restore sight and provide services to blind people.
