	Today, Taank Optometrists remains your locally owned and independent opticians practice. We continue the tradition of offering high quality, independent comprehensive eye care where your needs come first. Anjana Taank BSc (Hons) MCOptom has invaluable and extensive experience in a range of optical environments. Anjana qualified as an optometrist in 1995 and has since worked in the hospital eye service and performed voluntary work overseas. She gained additional experience within independent opticians and high street chains before setting up her own independent practice in 2003.

	An optician’s practice has existed here for over 90 years. Henry Flanders opened at 92A Mill Road in 1913 and served as a Chemist, Dentist and Opticians. Since then the practice has changed hands only three times, formerly trading as Elizabeth Pimm before coming under new ownership in May 2003. We are a longstanding member of the Rodenstock Club, a highly reputable German manufacturer of quality frames and lenses. Our Rodenstock membership is your guarantee of excellence across all the products we provide.
